Mexican Botanas

Mexican Botanas
The expensive ones are all leather, the cheaper ones are made of resin and covered with leather. The measurements on the all leather have to do with the distance from where the botana touches the leg to the face of the botana, the first measurement is for the top, the second measurement is for the bottom and the third measurement is the distance from the bottom of the face to the bottom of the spur hole, all measurements in millimeters (mm). So the 10-11-8 has a slight angle to the face which raises the point of the knife slightly and the spur hole is higher so the knife could be dropped lower and still be sitting on the face of the botana, the 11-11-7 is flat and the spur hole is slightly lower than the first one. The all leather botanas weigh ~ 10 grams and the resin type weigh ~ 5.5 grams.
